Meet The Dentist
Dr. Brandon Hernandez
Dr. Brandon Hernandez is a highly experienced and dedicated general dentist who has provided dental care across the country. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, he began his academic journey at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he earned his undergraduate degree. In 2018, he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California. Following graduation, Dr. Hernandez advanced his training at The Ohio State University, where he gained extensive experience in caring for medically compromised patients within a hospital setting. His passion for dentistry then led him to Minnesota, where he served as a faculty member at the University of Minnesota and practiced at one of the Twin Cities’ oldest and most respected dental offices.
Anastasia Ghost CRDH, BASDH
Since joining our team in January 2024, Anastasia has been committed to providing exceptional patient care and takes pride in maintaining the highest professional standards required in her field. She graduated with honors from the Miami Dade College Dental Hygiene program in 2014, and soon after volunteered as a dental hygienist with the American Red Cross at Royal Air Force Base Lakenheath, England from 2014 to 2015. In 2018, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from St. Petersburg College in Florida, graduating magna cum laude. Outside the office, Anastasia enjoys traveling, exploring international cuisines, and spending time with her two children!
Andrea Hummel, RDH
Andrea is an experienced and compassionate dental hygienist dedicated to promoting life long dental health. Since earning her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene 20 years ago from SPC in St. Petersburg, FL, she has worked in private practice promoting comprehensive dental care, periodontal therapy, and patient education. She is known for her gentle technique and ability to build trusting relationships with patients of all ages. Andrea also participates in continuing education to stay up to date with the latest in techniques and technology. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, hitting the gym, and soaking up the sunshine!
Megan Palacios, DA
For the past year, Megan has been a valued member of our team, dedicated to making every patient’s visit a comfortable and positive experience. Before beginning her role as a dental assistant, she worked in real estate at the Reef, where she discovered her passion for building connections and delivering exceptional service. In 2022, Megan earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University, and is now preparing to take the next step toward her dream of becoming a dentist. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, experimenting with new baking recipes, and volunteering with her local church!
Amy Kross, Office Manager/RDA
With over 25 years of experience in orthodontics and general dentistry, Amy joined Dentistry on the Reef in August 2021. As our Office Manager, she values the intimate setting of our private practice, which allows for personalized care and meticulous attention to every detail. Amy is originally from Southern California, and has enjoyed living in different parts of the country before she and her husband, Nick, decided to make the Florida Keys their forever home. She has a spunky 15-ear-old son, Gavin, whom she adores and is sure to keep her on her toes! In her free time, she loves offshore fishing and training for half marathons. With each new season, Amy embraces the new opportunities they provide with enthusiasm and positivity!
